DP World is looking for an experienced and visionary Commercial Manager for Economic Zones projects in Jakarta. You are a forward-thinking entrepreneurial leader to drive the commercialization, promotion, and sales of our Free Port Zones, Free Trade Zones, Industrial Parks, and other Economic Zone projects across Southeast Asia. Key Accountabilities

  • Create and implement a strategic commercial plan to market and sell economic zones across Southeast Asia.
  • Identify target industries and tailor commercial offers to meet their unique needs and positioning DP World as a preferred partner.
  • Set ambitious sales targets, monitor progress, and drive performance to meet and exceed commercial goals.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to uncover new business opportunities, identify potential clients, and assess global and regional market trends.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, investors, and strategic partners, to enhance the promotion and appeal of DP World’s economic zones.
  • Forge strategic partnerships with industry associations, trade bodies, and other relevant entities to attract investment and expand the zone’s reach.
  • Oversee the commercialization of land, warehouses, and infrastructure assets within Free Zones and Industrial Parks, optimizing their use and value.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team to effectively promote economic zones, manage the sales pipeline, and close long-term lease agreements and strategic partnerships.
  • Design and implement impactful promotional campaigns. Represent DP World at industry events, exhibitions, conferences, and trade shows to enhance visibility and drive client interest.
  • Collaborate with government authorities to ensure compliance with local and international regulations. Work closely with internal teams—legal, finance, logistics, and operations—to support client negotiations and streamline deal execution.
  • Drive initiatives to attract international companies from manufacturing, logistics, and service sectors. Customize offerings based on client requirements and negotiate agreements that deliver mutual benefits.
  • Continuously monitor commercial performance against established KPIs, implementing corrective measures as necessary. Provide regular updates to senior management on commercial progress, market developments, and business growth.
  • Contribute to annual budget planning, aligning commercial activities with financial targets and organizational goals.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial, business development, or sales leadership roles, preferably within industrial parks, free trade zones, or logistics sectors. Proven success in driving commercial strategies and revenue growth in similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial development, trade facilitation, and supply chain dynamics within Southeast Asia. Deep understanding of the economic landscape, including free zones, industrial parks, and logistics ecosystems.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with experience in engaging government agencies, regulatory bodies, and private sector clients.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, present compelling proposals, and close complex deals.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, managing multiple projects and navigating cross-border challenges with ease. High adaptability to the complexities of the Southeast Asian market.

  • Familiarity with regional economic and trade policies, and challenges of operating in economic zones.
