Meratus Group is looking for Bunker Superintendent who will be in charge for Meratus' vessels bunkering activities.
Job Accountability
- Bunker Planning & Supply: Coordination with Purchasing & Supplier for bunkering activity. (Coordination with the Agent, Vessel, and bunker Surveyor regarding the bunkering process aboard.)
- Quality Control: Ensure that the bunker specifications ordered match the vessel’s engine requirement.
- Monitoring & Coordination: Monitoring & Coordination for Mass Flow Metter Calibration & Movement
- Cost Management: Validate & process Vendors’ Invoice Payment (Agent, Surveyor, Others)
Job Requirements
- Having 3-4 years of sailing experience as a second engineer at a minimum
- Demonstrates strong commitment to integrity
- Knowledge of various bunker fuel grades, specifications, and sampling procedures
- Familiarity with vessel fuel systems and consumption optimization
- Ability to perform bunker surveys, fuel calculations, and analyze fuel consumption reports
- Proficiency in technical inspections and troubleshooting fuel-related issues
- Analytical problem-solver and proactive
- Good verbal and written communication skills in both Bahasa and English
- Ability to prepare technical reports and documentation
- Capable of working under pressure and in dynamic environments
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required
- Valid certifications such as STCW or other maritime-related qualifications are an advantage
