Meratus Group is looking for Bunker Superintendent who will be in charge for Meratus' vessels bunkering activities.

Job Accountability

  • Bunker Planning & Supply: Coordination with Purchasing & Supplier for bunkering activity. (Coordination with the Agent, Vessel, and bunker Surveyor regarding the bunkering process aboard.)
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the bunker specifications ordered match the vessel’s engine requirement.
  • Monitoring & Coordination: Monitoring & Coordination for Mass Flow Metter Calibration & Movement
  • Cost Management: Validate & process Vendors’ Invoice Payment (Agent, Surveyor, Others)

Job Requirements

  1. Having 3-4 years of sailing experience as a second engineer at a minimum
  2. Demonstrates strong commitment to integrity
  3. Knowledge of various bunker fuel grades, specifications, and sampling procedures
  4. Familiarity with vessel fuel systems and consumption optimization
  5. Ability to perform bunker surveys, fuel calculations, and analyze fuel consumption reports
  6. Proficiency in technical inspections and troubleshooting fuel-related issues
  7. Analytical problem-solver and proactive
  8. Good verbal and written communication skills in both Bahasa and English
  9. Ability to prepare technical reports and documentation
  10. Capable of working under pressure and in dynamic environments
  11. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required
  12. Valid certifications such as STCW or other maritime-related qualifications are an advantage
