As a Sales Planning Analyst you will help analyze and interpret sales data across multiple channels, provide actionable insights to enhance sales strategies, support planning and forecasting. About The Role
As a Sales Planning Analyst you will help analyze and interpret sales data across multiple channels, provide actionable insights to enhance sales strategies, support planning and forecasting. This role requires to be proficient in data analysis, have a strong understanding of sales trends, and possess the ability to communicate findings effectively to drive business performance.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze Sales Data: Review sales data across different channels to spot trends and opportunities. Create regular reports to track performance and share insights with the team.
- Distributor Performance Review: Assess distributor performance (primary and secondary sales, sales productivity, SLA, inventory). Lead monthly business reviews with distributors.
- Forecasting & Planning: Assist in the development and execution of sales forecasts and demand planning. Work with other teams to ensure accurate sales projections and alignment with business objectives.
- Reporting & Insights: Generate regular sales performance reports. Provide recommendations to improve sales strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, BI, marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure data alignment and informed decision-making.
- Data Management: Maintain and organize sales data, ensuring accuracy in reports and tools used.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Sales Analyst, Data Analyst, or Sales Planner, preferably within a multi-channel environment.
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience with CRM and ERP systems (Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of sales metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
