The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and writing various types of user documentation, including how-to guides, manuals, references, or instructions. This candidate should have strong communication skills which enable them to explain complicated concepts in a simple manner. This individual will also meet with customer representatives frequently in order to understand required content.
Responsibilities
- Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
- Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
- Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides.
- Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications.
- Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
- Create and maintain the information architecture.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a comparable discipline is required.
- At least three years of relevant experience.
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills to writing and communication.
- Understanding of types of technical documentation and how to choose the right one.
- Capable of quickly learning complex topics and communicating them to others.
- Familiarity with common writing platforms and publishing software.
- Efficient at collaborating across teams and departments.
- Product research and audience analysis.
- Willing to be placed in a banking or financial company.
