We are helping one of our client a 3D company to find a Technical Artist - Shader & VFX Specialist

  • Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement visual features and optimize assets within Unity.
  • Develop and refine shaders using Shader Graph (Unity) or Material Editor (Unreal) for a range of surfaces, materials, and lighting conditions.
  • Create tools and scripts to improve the efficiency of the 3D art pipeline.
  • Optimize assets to maintain performance without sacrificing visual quality
  • Develop and maintain visual effects, shaders, and materials that enhance the game’s aesthetic.
  • Design and implement particle effects and visual FX for gameplay interactions and immersive environments.
  • Collaborate with other artists to integrate shaders and VFX elements harmoniously into the game.
  • Optimize both shaders and VFX for cross-platform performance.
  • Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of Experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry.
  • Unity Expertise: Proficient in Unity and its key features, including scripting, shader creation, and performance optimization.
  • Proficient in shader development, node-based systems (Shader Graph, Material Editor), and VFX (Niagara, VFX Graph).
  • Skilled in 3D modeling and texturing tools like Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, or similar software
  • Familiar with GPU optimization techniques and performance profiling tools.
  • Strong artistic sense with a technical background in real-time effects.
  • Experience in WebGl
  • Experience in Unity, Unreal, and additional VFX software like Houdini or Substance Designer.
