Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Artelia Indonesia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and maintaining mechanical systems and components used in the production of automotive machinery and construction vehicles. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the optimal functionality, efficiency, and safety of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Design and Development:

  • Develop detailed mechanical designs for automotive and construction machinery, including engines, hydraulic systems, and structural components.
  • Use CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create technical drawings and 3D models.
  • Design and test mechanical prototypes and parts, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

2.Analysis and Testing:

  • Conduct stress and performance analyses using tools such as FEA (Finite Element Analysis).
  • Analyze system performance and suggest improvements for increased durability and efficiency.
  • Perform mechanical testing and troubleshooting to ensure components and systems meet design specifications.

3.Production Support:

  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth manufacturing processes.
  • Address mechanical issues during the production phase and recommend modifications for better manufacturability.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.

4.Problem-Solving:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems during the design, production, or operational phases.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions for mechanical failures or inefficiencies.

5.Collaboration:

  • Work closely with electrical, civil, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components for manufacturing.

6.Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all designs and processes comply with industry standards, regulations, and company safety protocols.
  • Participate in safety audits and ensure adherence to OSHA and environmental regulations.

7.Documentation and Reporting:

  • Create and maintain accurate documentation for designs, modifications, and testing procedures.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and proposals to management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in automotive, construction, or manufacturing industries.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of materials science, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
  • Experience with mechanical testing, FEA, and performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices in mechanical engineering.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with automotive and construction vehicle design.
