BookMyShow SEA is a regional ticketing startup, selling events, movies, attractions and more. We empower event organisers and venue owners by giving them the right tools that they need to successfully manage their ticketing from the internet to the door. Our team in the Engineering team, is a multi-disciplinary team of Developers working together to ensure that our ticketing platform is robust, dynamic, agile and user-friendly to ensure the smooth
administration/transaction of ticket inventories and optimize sales for our inventory owners. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build the next generation CI CD system in a cloud native way.
- Coordinate with the infrastructure team on standard updates and ensure those are reflected on a regular basis.
- Ensure availability of infrastructure which includes trouble shooting underlying system if applicable/
- Help propagate good developer practices across engineering.
- Helping to architect scalable, highly available application solutions that leverage Gcloud services.
- To build a high availability and monitoring system for Production Services.
- Identifying and fixing issues that occur in multiple production environments.
- Oversight of all server environments, from Dev through Production.
- Participate in Code design and review.
- Work on an infrastructure that is 100% on a public cloud platform (Google Cloud).
- Work on automating infrastructure and tooling.
- Work with servers, appliances, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, heterogeneous DB technologies,
Your Checklist:
- 3 - 5 years of Experience in production environment.
- Be curious, versatile, dynamic, rigorous, great autonomy and a team player, as well as a spirit of analysis and synthesis
- Experience in using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience is Infrastructure as a code Cloudformation/Terraform
- Experience in any monitoring tools.
- Good hands-on experience with the Unix/Linux platform.
- Good to have hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform
- Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills.
- Strong practical application experience on Linux.
- Comfortable working in rotational on-call support.
