  • Formulate and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on optimizing cost, quality, and supplier relationships for direct materials and services.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and reliability criteria.
  • Lead the sourcing process for direct materials and services, including RMPM, and supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, and R&D to optimize the supply chain, reduce lead times, and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier consolidation, value engineering, and process improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, commodity prices, and currency fluctuations to mitigate cost volatility.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in product quality.
  • Implement inventory control measures to improve cash flow and minimize carrying costs.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supplier financial stability, geopolitical risks, and supply chain disruptions.
  • Monitor and analyze procurement KPIs and metrics, prepare reports, and provide insights to management on procurement performance, cost savings, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with a minimum of 3 years managerial capacity in direct procurement roles, preferably in a food manufacturing or production environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and systems. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and e-procurement tools is preferred.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supply chain optimization.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results through collaboration and influence.
