Position Overview

As the Regional Head of Logistics (RHOL) of Asia Pacific, you will provide leadership and oversight to the Logistics teams in APAC and will be directly responsible for logistics initiatives in your region. You will build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Service Delivery.

This role requires strategic management and optimization of inbound and outbound logistics, managing key logistics partnerships, oversight of the warehousing network, support end-to-end logistics, and alignment with global logistics strategies. In addition to overseeing regional logistics, you will manage key performance indicators, and collaborate with other regional leads to drive process improvements and standardization.

Success in the position requires a strong operational and strategic mindset with experience in leading growth within a matrixed corporation, cross-cultural experience, and the capability to further develop global leadership and logistics teams.

Responsibilities

  • Management of inbound and outbound transport & warehouse footprint within the region
  • Oversight and review of logistics provider spend and tender processes for transport and warehousing within the region.
  • Management of Country Heads of Logistics and/or the Cluster Heads of Logistics within their region
  • Oversee end to end transport and logistics within the region, including but not limited to Finished Goods, Spare Parts (parcel), and Final Mile Installation
  • Tracking and reporting of regional KPIs
  • Executing the global logistics strategy within their region including special continuous improvement projects
  • Collaborating with other RHOLs to identify process efficiencies and standardize business processes
  • Point of contact for country level logistics escalations and for key providers within the region
  • Implementation of risk mitigation and resilience initiatives with input and direction from the Supply Chain Excellence group

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven experience in managing logistics operations at a regional or global level.
  • A background in similar industry is a plus
  • Ability to deliver on agreed savings and value targets. Familiar with competitive environments, where year-over-year cost down and continuous improvement is a norm.
  • Proven ability to grow and develop high performance teams.
  • Outstanding relationship management skills required to build strong trusting relationships with cross functional and cross geographical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated skills in supplier management with the ability to negotiate with suppliers in a formal request for partnership process or similar.
  • Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent by experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with data sets
  • Ability to use data to develop business cases and identify opportunities.
  • Leadership skills with a proven track record to lead others through written and spoken communications. Able to deal with resistance.
  • Knowledge of the LEAN philosophy and methods.
  • Proven ability to manage and implement strategic initiatives
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Desktop Applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with managing spare parts logistics and manufacturing operations, similar to the DN portfolio
  • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness and ability to travel within the region as required.
  • Understanding of regional logistics regulations and standards.
