Astro Goods, Astro's private label brand for FMCG food products, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Head to lead our diverse product categories, including breakfast items, pantry staples, snacks, and ice cream. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail strategy and portfolio management, along with a proven ability to drive business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the overall business strategy (buyer growth, profitability) for Astro Goods, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and market trends.
  • Portfolio Management: Conduct comprehensive portfolio reviews to assess product performance, identify growth opportunities, and drive innovation across all categories.
  • Financial Modeling: Create and manage financial models to forecast sales, analyze profitability, and support investment decisions for new product launches.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, supply chain, sales, and R&D teams to ensure cohesive product development, effective go-to-market strategies, and successful execution.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Project Management: Lead cross-functional projects from conception to execution, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and achievement of objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer preferences to inform strategic decisions and adapt product offerings.
  • Marketing: Oversee go-to-market strategy and execution for new and laggard products.

Requirement

  • 5+ years of experience in FMCG, Investment Banking and/or consulting with projects in retail
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Proven track record of successful project management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in managing cross-functional teams.
