Get to Know the Team

You will be part of the Strategy & Planning team, responsible for driving Grab's mobility and deliveries business in East Java region. We use data to create strategy to best serve our drivers, merchants and consumers. Our Strategy & Planning team is made up of Grabbers of different backgrounds – business, statistics, computer science, and engineering – allowing us to have multiple perspectives towards business issues. Get to Know the Role

We are looking for Assistant Manager to be accountable for Grab's OKR in East Java region. You will oversee short- and medium-term strategy formulation, leads and ensures success of various projects by collaborating with cross-functional teams (within & outside East Java), and serves as an internal advisor for city teams. We believe a successful candidate has willingness to strive beyond the BAU (not fixated on "Business as Usual" activities) and strong team member management skills. If you believe you have what it takes then we'd love to hear from you! Reporting to Strategy & Planning Manager. You will be based onsite in Grab Balikpapan.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Create insights through data analysis, and provide recommendations to improve Grab's business performance accordingly
  • Monitor cities' performance regularly, identify potential issues and propose action plans
  • Lead different projects at once from end to end (initiate, plan, get team members' support, ensure timely and successful execution, evaluate results and iterate) - often self-sourced rather than directed
  • Explore and find improvement opportunities across business processes
  • Management reporting

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree from reputable universities
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in data analysis, business strategy, project management and/or consultancy. Experience in digital business is preferable.
  • Excellent in Microsoft excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Microsoft PowerPoint (to create cohesive presentation), and Microsoft Word. Knowledge in tools like SQL, R, Python, Tableau, Power BI
  • Proven experience in convincing and getting team members' support for new ideas
  • Pays attention to small details to ensure quality is in place
  • Experience overseeing projects with different team members
  • Explain communication to deliver a clear, concise and consistent message to audiences of various backgrounds
