Key Responsibilities:
Labor Relations Management:
Develop and implement effective labor relations policies and procedures.
Manage relationships with labor unions, ensuring smooth communication and negotiation.
Lead collective bargaining agreements (CBA) negotiations and ensure adherence to agreed terms.
Address labor disputes and grievances, resolving conflicts promptly and efficiently.
Compliance and Legal Advisory:
Ensure the organization’s compliance with local and national labor laws and regulations.
Stay updated on labor legislation changes and advise management on necessary policy updates.
Collaborate with legal teams to handle disputes, arbitration, and litigation cases related to labor relations.
Employee Relations:
Act as a mediator between employees and management, resolving conflicts and promoting a healthy work environment.
Oversee employee disciplinary processes, ensuring fairness and consistency in line with company policies.
Implement employee engagement and retention strategies to improve satisfaction and reduce turnover.
Policy Development and Implementation:
Develop, review, and update industrial relations policies in line with current legislation and best practices.
Train and guide management and HR teams on the implementation of industrial relations policies.
Workplace Harmony and Conflict Resolution:
Foster positive employee relations through regular communication, feedback sessions, and engagement activities.
Implement programs to minimize workplace disruptions such as strikes, protests, and other industrial actions.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Maintain productive working relationships with labor unions, government labor agencies, and other relevant bodies.
Represent the company in various labor-related forums and hearings.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare detailed reports on industrial relations activities, including grievances, negotiations, settlements, and compliance updates.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee disputes, disciplinary actions, and legal matters.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in industrial relations, labor law, or HR, preferably within a multinational company.
Proven experience in managing labor unions and collective bargaining agreements.
Strong knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and dispute resolution techniques.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
Fluent in both local language and English.
