Position: Assistant Manager HR (Hospitality Hiring and Payroll)

Type: Full-time

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager HR to join our team and oversee the hiring and payroll process for our hospitality roles. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that we attract and retain top talent in the hospitality industry, while also ensuring that our payroll processes are accurate and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent for our hospitality roles
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates for various positions, including front desk staff, housekeeping, and food and beverage roles
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and requirements
  • Utilize various recruitment channels, including job boards, social media, and networking events, to reach potential candidates
  • Conduct reference and background checks for selected candidates
  • Develop and maintain relationships with hospitality schools and organizations to attract new graduates and interns
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary paperwork and training is completed
  • Manage the payroll process for all hospitality employees, including tracking hours, processing payroll, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Handle any payroll-related inquiries or issues from employees
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all hiring and payroll processes
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement employee retention strategies and programs
  • Assist with other HR duties and projects as needed


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, with a focus on recruitment and payroll in the hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and labor laws
  • Experience with recruitment tools and techniques, such as applicant tracking systems and social media recruiting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
