Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Customs Clearance Manager to oversee and manage customs operations for both sea and air freight. Key Responsibilities:

Customs Compliance:

  • Ensure all import/export operations comply with local and international customs regulations.

Operations Management:

Team Leadership:

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, customs authorities, and internal departments regarding customs-related inquiries.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners.

Process Improvement:

  • Analyze existing customs procedures and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement best practices and new technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce clearance times.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on customs operations, including performance metrics and compliance issues.
  • Monitor and analyze shipment data to identify trends and potential risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in customs clearance management for sea and air freight.
  • In-depth knowledge of customs regulations and tariff classifications.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in customs software and freight management systems.
