Position Overview

  • The Production Manager has full responsibility for leading and coordinating activities for production on a day to day basis and setting strategic direction for it going forward within the business environment
  • As the member of leadership team in the plant, set the BP targets of the plant and track, measure and analyze the plant KPIs for Production and ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken to achieve the BP targets.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development and Execution: Set the strategic direction and annual BP for Production function within CPS Plant aligning with CPS Corporate Centre:
  • Develop Production Goals per business needs. Design and develop plant strategies to achieve BP targets for Production goals and objectives for CPS Indonesia
  • Measure actual production key metrics (overall productivity, work center productivity, cost/unit, material usage variance, over time, OEE, etc) performance vs. goals on a regular basis and present/execute strategies for improvement and sustainability
  • Propose and validate new manufacturing technology
  • Proactively provide input into product design activities when required
  • Monitoring production processes effectiveness and present strategies for improvement
  • Production Execution
  • Lead, inspire, develop and engage a multi-skilled team of Production associates ensuring delivery of all key Production metrics.
  • Strategic aspects related to processes and work center’s productivity and efficiency improvement and man power optimization.
  • Execution elements related to production resources management to effectively fulfil production schedules. This includes work orders supervision and operational budget preparation/management.
  • Generate and follow up internal/external audits corrective actions.
  • Apply and embed Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 18001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, HAS) concepts and requirements in the production processes.
  • Ensure SAP’s production master data is accurate and updated.
  • Driving a Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety Culture
  • Ensure Production compliance with all TCCC (e.g. Finance, Legal, Environmental, Quality and Safety, HRP), local and regulatory requirements related to plant, equipment, production and people.
  • Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety aspects include nurturing a safe working environment, zero accidents mindset and environmentally responsible and right first time culture among the whole production.
  • Ensure an accident free environment and instill a zero accident culture among the plant.
  • Ensure hazards assessment and their corresponding preventive actions are completed accordingly.
  • Ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions are formally completed for all incidents and accidents.
  • Department Head / People Manager
  • Plan the annual operating budget, effectively manage and track Production related overhead expenses and CAPEX, provide input summary on the same to Plant General Manager and Finance Manager on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure vertical alignment between Plant/Department/individual objectives of direct report.
  • Coaching and appraisal through Performance Enablement – conduct high quality monthly refreshing conversation, and propose fair draft rating to Plant General Manager.
  • Improve team’s capability and performance through training, job rotation, coaching and feedback.
  • Prioritize Production team work load to balance short, medium and long term tasks
  • Encourage and support projects and initiatives for value creation within Production areas to drive continuous improvements, support the team to remove any obstacles.
  • Manage Overtime, ensuring full compliance with Human Rights Policy and local regulations.

Education Requirements

  • Having bachelor's degree in food technology or industrial engineeing.

Related Work Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in food/beverage processing or pharmaceutical manufacturing supply chain experience.
  • Having knowledge and experience in the area of Operational Excellence and Lean Principles, Quality and Safety system.
  • Having an experience in automation, robotics technologies is a plus.

  • Demonstrate experience in managing complex projects and strategic relationships with multiple stake holders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills (from both technical and budget standpoint).
  • Must be self-motivated and team oriented, safety and quality minded, organized and detail oriented, effective oral and written communication skills and an ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
  • Having leadership skills to guide and develop team members and foster a positive work environment
