The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Logistics Assistant Manager to oversee our supply chain operations, manage inventory, and ensure the effective utilization of assets. This role is critical in optimizing end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory control, and logistics management, while ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and report directly to the Operational Vice President.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Track and manage inventory levels.
  • Oversee ordering, storage, and distribution of materials.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy.

Warehousing Operations:

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving and dispatching products.
  • Maintain safety procedures and optimize warehouse practices.

Procurement and Vendor Management:

  • Source and negotiate with suppliers for cost-effective purchasing.
  • Maintain good relationships with vendors and manage contracts.

Logistics and Distribution:

  • Develop strategies for timely distribution of goods.
  • Manage third-party logistics (3PL) providers and track shipments.

Asset Management:

  • Oversee the lifecycle of company assets, including maintenance and disposal.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of assets.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify areas for improvement in supply chain processes.
  • Use data to enhance operations and reduce lead times.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor operations staff.
  • Foster a positive team environment.

Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in supply chain operations.

Reporting:

  • Prepare reports on inventory, procurement costs, and asset utilization.
  • Analyze data for decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., Certified Supply Chain Professional, APICS) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management, preferably in the automotive or EV industry.
  • Proven track record of managing third-party logistics (3PL).
  • Strong knowledge with Microsoft Excel
  • Good understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics best practices.
  • Familiar with international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with battery and EV operations is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and leadership abilities.
