Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Oversight
• Lead and guide Senior Plantation Managers in the Kaltim region to ensure estates achieve productivity, cost-efficiency, and sustainability goals.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring estates follow company policies and adhere to industry standards.
2. Performance Management
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, costs, and operational efficiency, working with Senior Plantation Managers to drive improvements.
• Encourage innovation and the sharing of best practices across estates.
3. Resource & Budget Management
• Ensure efficient allocation and use of resources (manpower, equipment) across all estates in the Kaltim region.
• Assist in preparing and managing budgets, focusing on cost control and operational excellence.
4. Sustainable Business Practices & Compliance
• Ensure estates comply with environmental regulations and safety protocols, aligning operations with sustainable business practices.
• Lead efforts to integrate sustainability into daily operations, promoting long-term environmental and business sustainability.
5. Collaboration with New Planting Team
• Work closely with the new planting team to ensure that estate expansion and planting activities align with the company’s long-term goals.
• Provide operational support and guidance to facilitate seamless integration of new planting efforts with existing estate operations.
6. Team Development & Support
• Mentor and support Senior Plantation Managers, fostering a culture of teamwork, high performance, and accountability.
• Develop talent within the estates by offering training and career development opportunities.
7. Stakeholder Relations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, government authorities, and other stakeholders in the Kaltim region, ensuring smooth operations and promoting social responsibility initiatives.
8. Reporting & Communication
• Regularly update the COO on estate performance, operational challenges, and areas for improvement.
• Ensure effective communication between Senior Plantation Managers and the COO.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Plantation Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in plantation management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of sustainable business practices, plantation operations, and compliance requirements.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple estates and lead Senior Plantation Managers in the Kaltim region.
