- Financial Transactions:
- Record and process financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries.
- Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in the general ledger.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Generate periodic financial reports and summaries for management review.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual financial performance against budget and report variances.
- Provide analysis and support for financial planning and decision-making processes.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process vendor invoices, payment requests, and expense reimbursements.
- Manage customer invoices, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Perform regular reconciliations of customer and vendor accounts.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Cash Management:
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and report on cash position.
- Tax and Regulatory Filings:
- Assist with the preparation and submission of tax returns and regulatory filings.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Support and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support for business operations.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related role preferred.
- Experience with financial software and Accurate accounting systems is a must.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
