To accelerate the Digital Transformation drive in the APRIL Group, we are seeking an experience IT & Digital Operations Manager cum Project Manager to join our team. The role presents exciting opportunities to drive innovation across diverse operations while fostering sustainable development practices. If you possess strong technical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for problem-solving, this role offers both personal and professional growth within a dynamic global organization committed to making a positive impact on society and the environment.

Lead IT and digital transformation projects for Group’s companies in Pulp & Paper to ensure high adoption of technology to drive efficiency and to provide innovative digital solutions that will deliver high levels of services and values.

Throughout a project life cycle from initial scoping phase, through project planning, estimating & budgeting, scheduling, design & development and full implementation:

  • closely with the business team to execute projects within scope, timelines and budget
  • closely with the business team and financial controller on business case, scoping and computing ROI & business benefits for every budget cycle
  • in the development of annual budget
  • business team expectations with regular reporting and explanation of requirements of analysis, specification, design of projects on a technical and non-technical basis
  • and manage project risk and maintain project plan
  • project activities against work plans
  • and supervise external contractors and in-house staff to ensure they produce on deadline
  • and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • with project management team, change management team and business continuous improvement team on improvements of IT & Digital systems
  • and execute our digital strategy and solutions roadmap. This role will work closely with a cross-disciplinary team with a goal to drive digital adoption
  • drive products towards a meaningful balance between user needs, business objectives and technical feasibility
  • information from the project team and from the partners to prepare periodical reports
  • ad-hoc reports for resources, project progress updates, summary to various stakeholders
  • regular project updates and take actions in consultation with IT & Digital Operations Manager
  • and maintain effective relationships with Site IT and internal IT services organization.

  • with project teams in documentation of projects’ achievements
  • in developing long-range strategic goals and strategies consistent with the Group’s mission and direction and develop short-range goals
  • compliance with Group’s policies and procedures
  • IT & Digital department smooth operations and performance effectiveness
  • SLA of service request (SR) and change request (CR) of internal IT services organization, external parties by de-bottleneck choke points.

Skills & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • or Master's Degree in instrumentation engineering / Mechanical engineering / Chemical engineering / Software engineering / Computer Science / Management Information System / Computer information system
  • Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certified (Mandatory)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) has an added advantage
  • least 5 years of more working exposure in managerial role or experience in a similar role.
  • experience in manufacturing industries is key
  • with DCS and industrial automation concepts
  • to communicate fluently in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • to go extra miles to achieve the end results
  • to changes but believe change is constant
  • Willingness to be placed in Pangkalan Kerinci, Riau
  • with SAP, nodejs, QlikSense, SYNK, VA Scan, Ariba, .NET, AI, Python, ML, mobile, web development, cloud, cybersecurity, etc will have an added advantage
