Key Responsibilities:
Release Management and Deployment Planning
Prepare test cases before deployment for respective changes
Post deployment test all planned changes
Functional Unit Testing (FUT) Support, business user will execute testing on production environment and those need to fix and deploy on production.
Ensure FUT test cases are aligned with system design and business requirements, and are traceable to the system components being tested.
Defect: Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Defect: Ensure timely resolution and retesting of defects, collaborating with development and product teams.
Ensure FUT scenarios should be tested on lower/non-prod environment and publish the quality report if not tested.
Lead, mentor, and support the test team to ensure best practices in both testing and change management.
Engage with business analysts, developers, operations teams, and project managers to ensure that all testing and changes meet business and system requirements.
Provide ongoing support for any testing-related escalations and ensure timely problem resolution.
Automate test cases using telecom-specific testing tools such as Spirent, IXIA, Wireshark, Tektronix, etc.
Implement and maintain automation frameworks to support ongoing test efficiency, including FUT test automation where applicable
Facilitate CAB meetings to review and assess potential risks and impacts of proposed changes.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions and minimal risks during change implementation.
Track and report progress on FUT test case execution, overall testing progress, and key testing metrics.
Provide comprehensive reports on change management status during CAB meetings and testing progress during regular project updates.
Experience:
- 8-9 years of experience in telecom domain testing, with expertise in protocols such as telecom OLTP, Web, Mobile app.
- Proven experience as a test lead, including FUT test case development and execution.
- Previous experience managing Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes and change requests.
- Experience using telecom testing tools and frameworks, and knowledge of automation.
