Responsibilities:

  • Managing all process, staff, administration and production within the department in order to achieve set goals for the year.
  • Creating and managing exhibition and department budget with curatorial.
  • Oversee entire execution process from production, logistics, artwork installation and dismantling, and working together with other departments to ensure successful execution exhibitions/programs.
  • Oversee the preparation and organization of logistics and technical implementation of an exhibition/program.
  • Oversee all process in working with all outsource teams to ensure smooth production and operations.
  • Involved in recruitment and hiring process within the department.
  • Evaluating performance and productivity of exhibition department and generating reports.

Effective coordination of multiple crews:

  • Inter-department coordination: working together with other departments to ensure successful exhibitions/programs.
  • Execution schedule for all exhibition programs, with timelines for other departments to work from.
  • Expense Management: Ensure that all process in the department follows financial and administration reporting standard for exhibitions/program.
  • Implementation assistance to execution of the institution's growth strategies.

Strategies and plans:

  • Planning department strategies in the year.
  • Execute approved strategies and plans that will result in goal attainment for the whole organization.

Qualification includes:

Education & Experience

  • At least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in any fields related.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in producing exhibitions for galleries, museums or other art institution.
  • Previous experience as a Supervisor/Coordinator specializing visual art and exhibitions in an art institution.
  • Vast knowledge of and an active interest in visual arts is essential.
  • A strong personal network of visual artists, art professionals, and other art institutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, verbal and written.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel).
  • Internet savvy.
  • Understanding of basic government regulation related to shipment process and exhibition organization in Indonesia.
