Job Description
As a Channel Sales Engineer, and a member of the Sales Department, you will be
responsible for delivering a high-quality experience to Bitdefender partners, prospects,
and customers.
This is a Channel SE role, so the main focus will be to promote the company’s positions
as a global leader in cybersecurity with an emphasis on the Bitdefender business
products/solutions, specifically through the Regional and National Partner
communities. You must be a key contributor to the partner growth. Accountable for
technical management of all Focus Channel partnerships within the guidelines of
Bitdefender’s channel programs, assisting in new business development and
successfully developing alliances with key solution provider accounts. Candidate will
motivate, educate and train the partners in the Company’s products and solutions. You
will need to have excellent communication, people and technical skills, as you’ll be a
critical part of the first in-depth experience with Bitdefender technologies
Part of your day to day duties, you will make good use of your commercial and technical
skills to present virtually/in-person Bitdefender’s business solutions portfolio in to B2B
prospects (end customer and business partners).
The presentations and discussions will be done face to face and remotely. You will be
playing an essential role by working together with the rest of the sales team to connect
our customers and partners with the marketing team and the development and testing
groups as needed.
You will need to understand the customer needs and pain-points to position
Bitdefender solutions to addresses these specific needs or pain-points.
Responsibilities:
- Together with the sales team, build up the funnel, qualify the opportunities and contribute to closing the sales and achieve the sales quota for the territory/region;
- Be customer-centric by providing market-leading solutions and support to solve customer problems;
- Attend/participate in industry trade shows
- Work very closely with the channel, regional business manager and sales teams;
- Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management;
- Respond effectively to RFPs;
- Deliver product demos, product proof of concepts and technical support during the sales process;
- Build and maintain relationships with Bitdefender partners, customers, sales teams;
- Engage in and create internal projects that benefit customers.
Requirements:
- BS/BA in Computer Science or related discipline
- Successful experience selling security solutions in a channel SE/SE role supporting
- Enterprise security solutions, typically obtained in 3+ years
- Ability to build strong Partner and Customer relationships
- You’re passionate about the security industry and you want to be part of some really cool projects;
- Be passionate about Computer Networking, Cloud Computing/Virtualization Technologies; Strong knowledge of cloud/virtual infrastructures (VMware, Citrix, Microsoft, Nutanix, Azure, AWS, GCP, Alibaba Cloud);
- Ability to understand and adapt product specifications;
- Relevant experience in working with TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, POP3, IMAP, MAPI protocols;
- Background in performing installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Windows and Linux environments;
- Linux/Unix server administration knowledge (installation, maintenance, upgrade, back-up, NFS);
- Result-oriented and good diagnostic skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, quick learner, dynamic, energetic and customer-oriented;
- Self-starter with solid oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills;
- Ability to work as part of a team to creatively solve problems;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Efficient time management and team player;
- Fluent in English.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, OSCP. CISA, CCSK, VCP, VCAP-DCA, CCA or other security industry related qualifications considered an advantage.
