Sourcing
- Supplier Selection and Management: Identify and manage relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely delivery of quality materials and services at the best possible cost.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and long-term agreements, to support the company's product goals.
- Cost Optimization: Implement strategies to reduce procurement costs without sacrificing quality or risking supply chain disruption. This may include exploring new suppliers or materials, and renegotiating existing contracts.
- Risk Management: Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks in the supply chain, such as supplier delays, price fluctuations, or material shortages.
- Sustainability and Compliance: Ensure that sourcing strategies align with corporate sustainability initiatives, ethical sourcing standards, and legal compliance.
Product Planning
- Demand Forecasting: Analyze market trends, sales forecasts, and historical data to predict product demand, ensuring the company produces the right quantities at the right time.
- Production Scheduling: Create and oversee production plans that align with customer demand, inventory levels, and the availability of materials. This includes coordinating with manufacturing teams to optimize production efficiency.
- Inventory Management: Ensure that inventory levels are optimized to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock and warehousing costs. Work closely with the inventory control team to balance production and storage needs.
- Product Lifecycle Management (PLM): Oversee the entire lifecycle of a product, from initial concept and design to manufacturing, distribution, and eventual phase-out or replacement.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Coordinate with departments such as marketing, finance, manufacturer & vendor to align product development, production, and sourcing strategies with overall business goals.
Key Skills:
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, especially in English
- Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain processes
- Analytical thinking and market research capabilities
- Knowledge of contract management and legal compliance
What We Would Like to See
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in procurement, supply chain or relevant industries
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a reputable university, with second class honours and above
