Svara Institute (formerly Presisi Indonesia) is an economic and business research-based consultancy firm. Our areas of expertise are macroeconomics and microeconomics including trade and investment, industry, labor, financial literacy, gender, small and medium enterprises, sustainability, shariah, community development empowerment and corporate social responsibility. We also provide trainings on data management and analysis to enhance business and policy maker's in-house analytical capacity.

Responsibilities

Svara Institute is inviting applications for full-time Junior Economist. The position will report to senior economists or the team leader. Junior economist will involve in various activities related to economic research including:

  1. Conduct data collection (primary or secondary data).
  2. Provide statistical analysis with guidance from senior economist.
  3. Organize and attend meetings/conferences related to research activities.
  4. Provide research related works such as writing and/or editing research reports and documents with guidance from senior analyst.
  5. Perform other research activities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have competence in data analysis and principle of economics, with specific requirements below:

1. Having Bachelor Degree in Economics with strong academic record.

2. Having training and/or experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative research work.

3. Having experience using national and international economic databases, such as BPS, BI, WITS, WDI, Trademap, etc.

4. Having essential skills in data processing (Microsoft Excel) and statistical or programming software packages (preferably Stata).

5. Having capacity to adapt and taking initiatives

6. Having ability to undertake simultaneous tasks.

7. Having excellent communication and writing skills in English.
