Your Role at Cabot
Under limited supervision, performs the most complex installations and repairs in any of the maintenance specialty areas, such as carpentry, electrical, mechanical, welding, heating/ventilation/air conditioning (HVAC), or plumbing. May lead a team of in-house maintenance technicians and/or oversees work of outside contractors. Very experienced in various maintenance skills, performs repairs and maintains machinery, equipment and other plant facilities. May focus on a particular skilled-trades specialty.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Identifies, recommends and assists in the execution of improvements to the equipment, procedures and test methods and data analysis.
- Participates in the design and builds and assembles prototype chemical process equipment and sub-assemblies, including plumbing and electrical components.
- Installs and de-installs equipment involving various manufacturing equipment and electrical expansions. Uses drawings and sketches.
- Assists engineers in developing, improving and testing system automation and electrical processes, chemical plant processes and equipment.
- Repairs and maintains prototype chemical processing equipment. Calibrates and tests testing equipment. Maintains preventive maintenance schedule.
- Documents technical specifications and updates manuals.
- Works on special projects as assigned.
- Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care Management System in line with
- the requirements of the RC14001 technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.
