Lead Managing Consultant (Sustainability) - Indonesia

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and nurture essential client relationships, both new and established, to ensure exceptional project outcomes while fostering partnerships that lead to future growth opportunities.
  • Actively contribute to expanding the sustainability consulting presence in Asia by spotting and pursuing new business prospects.
  • Build and maintain strong connections with key experts, both internally and externally, to leverage their expertise in delivering enhanced client results.
  • Develop a network of significant stakeholders, especially within business circles, to generate potential opportunities.
  • Collaborate with project teams on client projects, business development, and resource planning to support company expansion.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership, including the Global Managing Director, Director - APAC, Managing Consultant, Partners, and finance team to ensure all projects meet financial objectives and that budgets are aligned with successful outcomes.
  • Identify and lead marketing initiatives that enhance brand reputation in the Malaysian market in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years working experience in the sustainability space
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesia's business environment and cultural context
  • Fluency in Malay, with additional Asian language skills as a bonus
  • Experience working within Indonesia and Malaysia
  • Background in consulting or business development, especially in strategic industries within SEA
  • Familiarity with regional commodities like palm oil, coconut, mining, forestry, pulp, and paper is beneficial
  • Strong analytical skills with a strategic perspective
  • Proven consulting skills, including the ability to lead workshops and co-create solutions with clients
  • Entrepreneurial mindset that drives the consultancy’s growth and innovation.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research, and ability to analyze data to inform project recommendations.
  • Effective team leadership and mentoring abilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, supporting your role as a brand representative.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and adapt to varied business needs.
  • Expertise in applying sustainability tools that address client requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of an industry sector that could strengthen service offerings.
  • At least four years of experience in consulting and business development.
