Lead Managing Consultant (Sustainability) - Indonesia
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and nurture essential client relationships, both new and established, to ensure exceptional project outcomes while fostering partnerships that lead to future growth opportunities.
- Actively contribute to expanding the sustainability consulting presence in Asia by spotting and pursuing new business prospects.
- Build and maintain strong connections with key experts, both internally and externally, to leverage their expertise in delivering enhanced client results.
- Develop a network of significant stakeholders, especially within business circles, to generate potential opportunities.
- Collaborate with project teams on client projects, business development, and resource planning to support company expansion.
- Partner closely with senior leadership, including the Global Managing Director, Director - APAC, Managing Consultant, Partners, and finance team to ensure all projects meet financial objectives and that budgets are aligned with successful outcomes.
- Identify and lead marketing initiatives that enhance brand reputation in the Malaysian market in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 8+ years working experience in the sustainability space
- Strong knowledge of Indonesia's business environment and cultural context
- Fluency in Malay, with additional Asian language skills as a bonus
- Experience working within Indonesia and Malaysia
- Background in consulting or business development, especially in strategic industries within SEA
- Familiarity with regional commodities like palm oil, coconut, mining, forestry, pulp, and paper is beneficial
- Strong analytical skills with a strategic perspective
- Proven consulting skills, including the ability to lead workshops and co-create solutions with clients
- Entrepreneurial mindset that drives the consultancy’s growth and innovation.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research, and ability to analyze data to inform project recommendations.
- Effective team leadership and mentoring abilities
- Strong communication and presentation skills, supporting your role as a brand representative.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects and adapt to varied business needs.
- Expertise in applying sustainability tools that address client requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of an industry sector that could strengthen service offerings.
- At least four years of experience in consulting and business development.
