Category Manager Production Materials & Services
(based in Jakarta, Indonesia)
Purpose:
Co-own the Production Materials & Services Category strategy, develop and execute the Production Materials & Services category strategy and/or execute the sourcing goods for the assigned category in line with the OpCo strategy, in order to optimise business value.
Key Accountabilities:
Category Strategy
- Participate in the development of the Production Materials & Services category strategy in line with the business strategy
Sourcing
- Evaluate and select existing and new suppliers and execute the sourcing of goods for the assigned category, in line with the Production Materials & Services category strategy
Negotiation
- Negotiate with suppliers regarding price, quality and delivery conditions for the assigned category, and draft (proposals for) contracts in line with global/local standards and procurement guidelines
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain a network of suppliers and other relevant (internal and external) stakeholders
Market Exploration
- Signal and analyse relevant market development regarding customers/consumers, suppliers, price and cost developments
Management Information
- Prepare, explain and follow up on management reports, in line with global reporting standards and local requirements
Projects
- Define, manage, and/or participate in procurement/facilities/multidisciplinary projects
People Management and Development
- Create a great place to work, with the right people at the right place equipped with right capabilities to win
Qualifications and Experience:
Level of Education:
- Min. University degree (SI ideally in disciplines related to business, finance, commercial, economics or other technical-related courses.
Experience (including Management Experience)
- 3-5 years (managerial) experience required in Procurement or Finance roles / Production Materials & Services or Business Services Category ideally in FMCG/CPG industries
- Good interpersonal / communication / influencing and negotiation skills
- People-management experience to successfully guide and manage small teams
Language Proficiency
- Able to communicate effectively in English (written and oral) and local Bahasa
