Job Description
Reporting to a Construction Management Engineer and working closely with the Office Manager and Site Secreatry, the Assistant Engineer will perform the services detailed below.

Euroconsult Mott MacDonald has been appointed by the PPK Perencanaan dan Program, Satuan Kerja Balai Besar Wilayah Sungai Sumatera VIII of the Directorate General of Water Resources, Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Government of Indonesia (the Client) to implement Consulting Services for the JICA-funded Komering Irrigation Project (Phase 3). The project consists of irrigation system design, procurement support, construction management and supervision, institutional support, irrigation modernisation and project benefit monitoring and evaluation.

Reporting to a Construction Management Engineer and working closely with the Office Manager and Site Secreatry, the Assistant Engineer will perform the services detailed below.
- Assisting the Construction Management Engineer in the coordination of the construction contract management and supervision;
- Assessing incoming correspondence from the Contractor and defining and coordinating follow-up actions;
- Ensuring timely and accurate communication to the Employer and Contractor by drafting letters or coordinating actions with the Construction Management Engineer and other team members;
- Support the review and revision of existing design documents, calculations and drawings;
- Attend regular meetings, supporting the checks of work method, work performance, work progress, status of equipment and materials, work schedule and safety control as well as problems to be solved
- Assisting in project and construction progress reporting;
Key skills, experience and qualifications:
- Completed university education in Irrigation Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or a similar engineering programme with a focus on water;
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, both in a team and individually, and demonstrate strong time-management skills;
- Sound conceptual and analytical skills;
- Excellent communication and networking skills, including good spoken and written English;
- A few years of professional experience related to water resources engineering would be an advantage.
