We currently manage IDR 3.02 trillion in outstanding loans, serving 6 million individual borrowers through 10.51 million active transactions.
We are seeking an experienced Government Relations Manager to serve as the primary liaison between our company and regulatory bodies in Indonesia. This role is crucial for fostering strong relationships with government entities, ensuring compliance, and supporting public policy initiatives within the rapidly evolving financial technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Liaison:
Serve as the single point of contact for all regulatory stakeholders related to our financial technology operations in Indonesia, ensuring clear and effective communication at all times.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, authorities, industry associations, and other key stakeholders to secure strategic support for the Public Affairs Director and company objectives.
Risk Identification & Mitigation:
Collaborate with the Public Policy and Compliance teams to identify external risks. Prepare briefs, reports, and documents related to specific case issues to ensure proper handling and risk mitigation.
Representation in Regulatory Matters:
Represent the company in regulatory hearings and discussions. Work alongside the Compliance and Public Policy teams to provide recommendations and ensure the company's interests are protected.
Regulatory Compliance:
Prepare, track, and monitor all required documents in relation to OJK (Financial Services Authority) regulations. Ensure full compliance by working closely with the Compliance team to minimize any regulatory risks.
Strategic Government Engagement:
Proactively identify opportunities for meaningful engagement with government entities to strengthen the company's presence and influence within the fintech industry.
Regulatory Communication:
Ensure prompt and effective responses to regulatory inquiries, fostering a cooperative relationship with government officials and regulators.
Brand & Compliance Advocacy:
Enhance the company's compliance awareness and strengthen its brand image at government events and initiatives, representing the organization in a professional and compliant manner.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with teams across product development, legal, compliance, marketing, communications, and public policy to ensure cohesive strategies and approaches when interacting with government and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
Experience:
A minimum of 6-7 years of experience in government relations within the tech sector. Previous experience in the fintech sector is a strong advantage.
Government Engagement:
Proven experience in engaging government stakeholders, navigating regulatory landscapes, and representing organizations in official regulatory settings.
Private Sector Experience:
Experience working with or for private sector companies, demonstrating the ability to manage government relations in a commercial environment.
Independent Contributor:
Ability to work independently as a key contributor across various regulatory and compliance issues, demonstrating self-motivation and strategic thinking.
Communication Skills:
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to handle complex government relations matters professionally and effectively.
