Become a Freelance Editor for Our Research Team:

As an Editor ensures that all written content, such as research reports, whitepapers, articles, and client presentations, is accurate, coherent, and engaging. The role of an editor in this setting involves not only proofreading for grammar and style but also verifying that the research data is presented clearly and effectively, aligned with the intended messaging, and tailored to the audience's needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Review research reports, whitepapers, articles, and presentations to ensure clarity, coherence, and professionalism.
  • Correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors, and ensure consistency in writing style and terminology.
  • Edit content to make complex data and insights more accessible and easier to understand for various audiences (clients, stakeholders, and the general public).
  • Collaborate with researchers, the PR team, and content writers to verify the accuracy of facts, figures, and data interpretation while enhancing the readability and overall impact of written materials.
  • Ensure that charts, graphs, and visuals used in reports are correctly labeled, formatted, and support the narrative of the content.
  • Ensure that reports and documents follow a clear and logical structure, with appropriate headings, sections, and formatting.
  • Provide feedback on how to best position research findings to align with client objectives or business strategies.
  • Offer suggestions for improving the narrative flow, language tone, and data presentation to make the content more engaging and insightful.
  • Make sure that all written materials adhere to the company’s voice and branding guidelines.
  • Ensure that the tone, terminology, and presentation style is consistent across all communications.
  • Edit and finalize all client-facing materials, such as proposals, summaries, and reports, ensuring that they are polished, professional, and aligned with the company’s standards.
  • Conduct a final review of deliverables before they are sent to clients or published.
  • Assist in editing blog posts, case studies, and thought leadership articles to ensure that the research insights are presented in a way that highlights the company’s expertise.
  • Ensure that external publications accurately reflect the company’s knowledge and position as a market leader

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field. Familiarity with market research or data-driven content is a plus.
  • Previous experience as an editor or proofreader, preferably within a market research, consulting, or data-focused organization.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), report writing tools, and basic data visualization tools (such as PowerPoint or Excel).
  • Ability to ensure clarity and coherence in complex research reports and data-heavy content.
  • Understanding of market research methodologies, data interpretation, and industry-specific language.
  • Ability to ensure that technical jargon is explained or simplified where necessary.
  • Understanding of how to structure and present data in a way that is logical, clear, and visually appealing.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with writers, researchers, and marketing teams.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance to improve written content.
  • Able to tailor editing approaches to different types of content (e.g., detailed reports, marketing pieces, executive summaries).
  • Comfortable working with various content formats, including text, visuals, and multimedia.
  • Ability to manage multiple documents and projects simultaneously, often under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in English writing is a plus
