Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our client’s Surabaya site security teams, ensuring appropriate security controls are in place at their facilities. This includes managing physical access to sites, developing site operating procedures and working with security teams, business stakeholders and our client’s security management team – ensuring our clients' people, operations and assets are safe at all times.
The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day security operations, reporting, security assessments and be fluent in Bahasa as well as having business level English speaking and writing skills. This is an opportunity to lead and influence the local security capability of a multinational organization.
Reporting
This position will report to our client’s security management team as well as the Country Director for Hill & Associates’ Indonesia office.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
Security
- Support and act as the local liaison for Security Management and manage the local third party security guarding services.
- Prepare operational security reports and be the key point of contact for facility stakeholders for security incidents, emergencies and safety / security enquiries.
- Ensure adequate physical security and access management arrangements are in place to protect the client facility and its people.
- Perform other security duties as required.
Secondary Duties
- Liaise with external stakeholders including Local Community (Key Stakeholders), Police, Military, Labour Unions, Area Management at Hamlet, Village, District, Regency and Province levels to build effective communications.
- Maintain professional relationships on security, community and any other related matters, including with counterparts at nearby companies.
- Regular communication and engagement with all external stakeholders to build rapport
- and to collect information of any possible and/or potential security threats and related risks to the plant’s operations and interests.
- Work with necessary parties to mitigate security/community disturbance.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Hold current Gada Utama (Indonesian Police Training Certification)
- Having at least 3 years experience in Community Engagement field
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia is a MUST
- Familiar with local area of operation landscape
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Strong contacts at different levels of law enforcement/local government officers.
- Strong analytical, link analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or work-related software.
- Having a Military/Police background is preferable.
