Your Future Role

The Payroll Support Officer is responsible for assisting the Payroll Officer with activities that require a higher level of complexity for Austin Perth from the Austin Batam, Indonesia location. Reporting to the Payroll Officer for Australia, a key responsibility of this role is to all payroll processes, policies, and procedures are meticulously followed, maintaining compliance with organizational guidelines and relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular reconciliation and review of leave accruals against leave requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Assist in reviewing and cross-checking payroll records and timesheets against data from the Time Management System (TMS) to guarantee accuracy and integrity.
  • Support the creation and compilation of payroll reports as needed, providing essential data for management and compliance purposes.
  • Maintain and update the company’s Time Management System, including daily review and entry of timesheets for workshop employees, both direct and labor hire, as required
  • Complete basic ADP forms as requested by the Payroll Officer, ensuring all necessary information is accurately provided for payroll processing.
  • Assist in the onboarding process by entering new employees into the Time Management System, including permanent staff, labor hire, and contractors.
  • Ensure that all required payroll information and documentation are accurately filed and maintained.
  • Ensure that all payroll processes, policies, and procedures are consistently followed and that guidelines are adhered to at all times.
  • Create and maintain detailed payroll records for workshop employees, ensuring that all information is current and compliant with company standards.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

  • Business, Administration, Finance or similar
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in HR roles with a focus on payroll, recruitment process.
  • Prior experience in finance or payroll administration is essential, demonstrating a solid understanding of payroll processes and compliance
  • Familiarity with Time Management Systems (TMS) and strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting. While Excel skills are mandatory, a willingness to learn is essential
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with diverse teams and respond to employee inquiries
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, “can-do” attitude. Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively while meeting deadlines.
