The Role
In the heart of our data-driven organization, the Data Scientist role is pivotal, bridging the gap between our diverse business functions, our technology, and our strategic goals. You will be responsible for harnessing the power of data, transforming it into actionable insights that drive decision-making across the company. Your role involves not only managing and analyzing vast amounts of data but also exploring innovative ways to enhance our business intelligence.
You will bring your deep expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling to bear on a variety of challenges and opportunities. Collaborating closely with teams such as Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Finance, you will provide data-driven solutions and recommendations that contribute significantly to our growth and efficiency.
Success in this role demands a proactive approach, with a keen ability to work seamlessly across different departments – leveraging data to inform product development, optimize operational processes, and guide strategic initiatives. Your work will be instrumental in shaping our customer experiences, improving our products and services, and steering the overall direction of our business through informed, data-backed decision-making.
What you will do
- Acquire and preprocess large and complex datasets
- Apply statistical models and machine learning for data interpretation
- Develop predictive models
- Create advanced visualizations and reports for data findings
- Collaborate with different departments for data-driven solutions
- Keep up-to-date with latest data science technologies and methods
- Lead data-centric projects and mentor junior team members
- Adhere to ethical data handling and compliance standards
What we are looking for
- Degree in Statistics & Machine Learning (undergraduate and/or masters).
- At least 2 years of experience in data science.
- Experience working in cross-cultural organizations.
- Knowledge of SQL and proficiency in either R or Python.
- Deep knowledge of machine learning techniques, including their advantages and limitations.
