Job Description
- Full control over the Port calls in Indonesia.
- Manage the Operations Teams such as the boarding agents, senior executives, final disbursement accounts specialists.
- Coordinate with the Business Development team to understand the customer requirements, SOPs, KPIs etc.
- Ensure the performance of the operations in the country.
- Ensure implementation and compliance with Safety, Health, Security, and Quality policies and procedures among staff.
- Coordinate with the Head Office to identify, appoint, monitor and control the sub-agents in Indonesia.
- Able to travel to each appointed port call to ensure the service is met and completed the services successfully
- Select (VDD) controlling sub-agents.
- Able to negotiate with sub-agents on costs/cost effective and report in a timely manner.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree.
- At least 8 years of operational experience in relevant shipping industry.
- Proven experience to manage the operations team to profitability and resolve issues.
- Able to manage operations and control cost and resources within own entity.
- Good knowledge in local legislations and export & import regulations.
- Mature, independent, pro-active, and able to work under pressure.
