A new and exciting Country Lead (Country Manager) position has just opened. Our client is a global trade digital platform that integrates solutions across a company's trade journey, from advisory, to logistics, and even to financing. They are a unicorn from India and they've received their Series B funding last year.

Job Description

The client is looking to hire the first Country Lead to spearhead its launch in Indonesia. Reporting to the CEO or founder, the high-caliber candidate will be responsible for launching, setting up, developing, and implementing the business strategies to ensure Indonesia is launched successfully.

The individual will be the first key hire in Indonesia, but eventually will be responsible to lead multi-functional teams. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the full P&L for the whole operation in Indonesia - leading and executing the success of the business through strategic planning, market analysis.
  • Identifying potential local partners to facilitate the market entry and build revenue pipeline.
  • Ability to understand the value proposition to potential clients and increase revenue opportunity by offering innovative products.
  • Overseeing the setup local operations, identifying risks and challenges associated with entering new market, and adapting the business practices, products to suit the local market and culture.


Job Requirements

  • 5-8 years experience in a leadership role in a tech startup.
  • Experience in product development and launch, with a track record of bringing innovative products to market.
  • Proven experience as a C-level or in a similar executive leadership role in a start-up or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and lead an effective team.
  • A self-directed professional who knows what needs to be done and operates with a sense of urgency, focus and discipline.
  • Willingness and desire to roll up your sleeves and execute while also seeing the broader vision of the company.
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and drive with the ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated high level budgeting skills, and return on marketing investment analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
