Responsibilities

  • Sales Plan: Creating a sales plan and implementing it as a supportive sales program, including ensuring that the sales plan’s execution runs according to schedule.
  • Prospecting: Finding and reaching out to potential clients, including companies, organizations, and individuals who need event services.
  • Selling: Preparing and delivering offers along with proposals that match the clients’ needs.
  • Negotiation: Negotiating prices, terms, and conditions of contracts to ensure mutually beneficial agreements for both parties.
  • Closing: Finalizing sales with clients and ensuring that all necessary documentation and administration are completed.
  • Project Monitoring & Collaboration: Working together with the event team (across all areas) to ensure that all aspects of the client’s project are managed well and meet client expectations, including conveying important information about the client and project to the team to ensure successful event execution.
  • Client Relations: Managing and maintaining relationships with existing clients, including providing support and after-sales service.
  • Reporting: Compiling and sending weekly sales reports, including project status updates to management.
  • Networking: Building and maintaining relationships with potential clients and business partners.
  • Problem Resolution: Addressing client complaints or issues quickly and effectively.
  • Collecting Client Feedback: Gathering and analyzing feedback from clients to improve services and products.
  • Updating Data: Consistently updating account profiles to reflect coverage profiles each year as part of data management.
  • Research: Assisting in identifying new business opportunities in the event organizer market and providing ideas related to appropriate sales methodologies relevant to changes or developments in client/event customer needs, including analyzing sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participating in training and professional development to stay updated with industry trends and the latest sales techniques.

Qualifications

  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree, with at least 1-2 years of experience as a Sales/Account Executive (especially in the event industry), and direct involvement in the event execution process.
  • Demonstrated ability to set goals and achieve them.
  • Strong communication skills and understanding of the sales process.
