As an Application Support professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and reliability of the company’s applications, especially those related to financial or banking operations. You will be the main point of contact for any technical issues that arise, working closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing quick and effective solutions to ensure applications run optimally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain applications to ensure optimal performance, minimizing downtime or service disruptions.

• Provide first and second-level support for application-related issues.

• Analyze and resolve issues reported by users, offering temporary or permanent solutions as required.

• Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and resolve application bugs or issues.

• Thoroughly document technical issues, fixes, and procedures.

• Provide technical training and guidance to users on application usage.

• Assist in testing, deploying, and maintaining application updates.

• Ensure applications comply with security standards and regulatory requirements within the financial/banking sector.

• Assist in analyzing and implementing system changes or application updates in line with business needs.

• Collaborate with vendors and third parties for issue resolution related to the applications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Application Support or similar role.

Experience in the financial or banking industry is highly preferred.

• Strong understanding of application architecture, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and databases (MySQL, SQL Server, etc.).

• Experience with monitoring tools and performance analysis of applications.

• Knowledge of banking application integration, payment systems, and financial regulations is a plus.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical teams.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

• Familiarity with ITIL methodologies or IT service management processes is a plus.
