Project Director – Landside Logistics – Southeast Asia

DP World is welcoming an enthusiastic Project Director to join our team in Jakarta, Indonesia to oversee and manage the execution of various infrastructure projects across Southeast Asia, including River Terminals, Inland Container Depots (ICDs), Container Depot, Warehouses, Cold Stores, Economic Zones and Industrial Parks. This role involves close coordination with internal stakeholders, external contractors, and commercial teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. As Project Director, you'll drive innovative project strategies and lead cross-functional teams to create impactful, "ready-to-use" logistics infrastructure solutions. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and report on the status of all ongoing projects, including schedule, budget, quality, safety, and compliance with design and administrative regulations.
• Implement robust control mechanisms to track project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and proactively address issues.
• Ensure construction meets corporate guidelines, local laws, and industry standards.
• Lead the building handover process, ensuring all as-built documentation is reviewed, finalized, and securely stored.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure proper documentation is completed for each project milestone.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify project progress and adherence to safety, design, and quality standards.
• Organize and participate in frequent project review meetings with key stakeholders.
• Partner with contract logistics and commercial teams to develop "ready to use" infrastructure solutions that meet business and customer needs.
• Actively participate in meetings with prospects to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable project strategies (budget, schedule, design, etc.).
• Serve as the Southeast Asia liaison with the corporate construction office, ensuring all projects comply with corporate concepts, guidelines, rules, and obligations.
• Regularly update the corporate office on project status, challenges, and achievements.
• Manage on-site Project Management teams, providing leadership and direction to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
• Develop and structure control teams for new projects to enhance oversight and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and designs.
• Work closely with design offices to optimize project costs, ensuring value engineering and tender efficiency.
• Review and refine project schedules to align with business priorities and cost targets.
• Drive the tendering process, ensuring schedule and cost optimization through careful planning and procurement strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in managing infrastructure projects, with a focus on logistics, industrial parks, or port development.
• Demonstrated success in overseeing complex, multi-dimensional construction projects across various regions.
• Extensive knowledge of construction safety standards, project controls, and contract management.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and coordinate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling and reporting.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a decisive, solution-oriented approach.
• Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting tight deadlines.
• Collaborative, with experience working cross-functionally with diverse teams.
