We are a Marketing Technology start-up specializing in solutions for Consumer and Trade Promotions within the FMCG industry. With an extensive network of retailer partnerships and a growing client base that includes both local and multinational companies, we are seeking a Data Engineer for a managerial role. This position is expected to progress to Head of Data within 12-24 months.

As we are on the verge of hypergrowth, we are actively recruiting key team members who will play a crucial role in our expansion. The growth potential is immense, and there is an exciting opportunity to gain equity in a rapidly scaling company.

Technical Qualifications

  • A passionate and curious individual in Data Engineering and Analytics subject areas
  • 3-5 years of any relevant experiences in Data Engineering, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, Analytics
  • Good proficiency in writing SQL, either in RDBMS (i.e. MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc)
  • Experience with MongoDB (other NoSQL) is a plus
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools like Apache NiFi, Pentaho, Talend, or custom pipelines
  • Experience with data modeling for structured and unstructured data
  • Ability to write robust and scalable code in Python or other scripting programming language
  • Good knowledge in creating a workable business dashboard (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, etc))
  • Basic proficiency or experience in infrastructure setup using cloud services (i.e. AWS, GCP, Azure)

General Qualifications

  • Strong passion in data engineering or business intelligence areas, ability to search or create solutions
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions
  • Collaboration: Ability to work closely with operation team and other stakeholders to ensure data accessibility and accuracy
  • Communication: Clear communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency throughout the data pipeline
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and tools as needed
