Accounting Specialist

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the shipping or logistics industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
• Experience with financial analysis and cost control.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with shipping industry regulations is a plus.

Responsibility:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate postings to the general ledger.
• Assist in developing budgets and forecasts, monitor actual results against the budget, and provide variance analysis.
• Ensure the company’s compliance with local and national tax regulations, including preparing and filing tax returns.
• Manage the processing of invoices, payments, and collections, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations.
• Monitor and analyze operational costs related to shipping activities, providing recommendations for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial standards and regulations.
• Provide insights and analysis to support decision-making, including profitability and performance evaluations.
• Maintain thorough and organized financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
