Regional Financial Controller

We are looking for a passionate, tech-savvy, experienced finance professional to join our team as Regional Controller.

The company operates 3 Business Units across 6 countries.

As Regional Controller, you will steer the organization to best in class financial reporting and ensure compliance with accounting, regulatory and tax requirements.

You will work closely with the local teams to ensure consistency across the group while adapting to local specificities.

You will ensure the group reporting is accurate and meaningful to stakeholders.

What you will be doing as Regional Controller at The Parentinc:

Policies and process definition

• Define the policies applied across the group from revenue, costs and amortizations.
• Align processes across the group entities.
• Adapt policies and processes to local requirements.

Group Reporting

• Ensure accuracy of accounting across the different entities.
• Consolidate local numbers into group financials.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Financial analysis

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.

Budgeting

• Build and revise annual and quarterly budgets.
• Manage budget and approval of expenses within the budgets.

Compliance

• Ensure compliance of the different group entities for tax and other regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

Team Collaboration

• Support the Finance team as needed.
• Provide support to other departments on financial matters and ad hoc projects as needed.

Is this you?

• Education in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent certification is a plus.
• 6-10 years of experience in financial accounting roles covering the responsibilities of the role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations (IFRS).
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
• Excellent attention to details.
• Curiosity and positive attitude.
• Hands-on attitude: ready to roll up your sleeves and get the job done, we all do our own spreadsheets still.
• Experience with modern accounting software (we use Xero) is a plus.
• Experience with Google Sheets and other Google applications (our work is online and collaborative) is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
