Job Overview:

The ERP Technical Specialist (iDempiere) will be responsible for the technical management, maintenance, and enhancement of our iDempiere ERP system. Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Configuration and Maintenance:
  • Configure and maintain the iDempiere ERP system to ensure optimal performance and alignment with business requirements.
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups to keep the system up-to-date and secure.

2. Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide technical support for issues related to iDempiere, including diagnosing and resolving system errors and performance problems.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

3. Customization and Development:

  • Develop and implement customizations and enhancements within the iDempiere ERP system, including modifications to workflows, user interfaces, and business processes.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries, scripts, and reports to support data management and reporting needs.

4. Integration and Data Management:

  • Design and implement integrations between iDempiere and other systems to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.
  • Support data migration efforts and ensure data integrity during system transitions.

5. Documentation and Best Practices:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for system configurations, customizations, and integrations.
  • Follow best practices for ERP system management and development, including adherence to coding standards and security protocols.

6. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand technical requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Participate in project planning, status meetings, and provide updates on technical progress and challenges.

7. Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay informed about the latest iDempiere updates, features, and industry trends to leverage new technologies and methodologies.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for system improvements and efficiencies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Experience in a technical role with iDempiere or a similar ERP system is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Java programming language.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with database design and management.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems and related command-line tools.
