Job Description
- Develop and implement a comprehensive 1-year strategic plan for the engineering department, focusing on optimizing operations, improving equipment reliability, and achieving departmental goals.
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, ensuring effective performance and professional growth.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects to ensure they are on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to ensure all equipment and systems operate efficiently and reliably.
- Monitor and improve plant performance, focusing on reducing downtime and enhancing overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to align engineering efforts with plant operations and business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as internal standards.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance reviews and guide the professional development of engineering staff.
- Prepare and manage the departmental budget, forecasts, and reports.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
- At least 8 years of experience in engineering and maintenance management, ideally within the sugar, food processing, or FMCG industries.
- Strong expertise in plant operations, equipment maintenance, and utilities management.
- Proven ability to lead CAPEX projects and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
- Experience with CMMS software and maintenance planning tools.
- Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage across all levels.
