Restaurant Waitress

As a waitress, you play a crucial role in ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our guests. Your responsibilities extend beyond taking orders and delivering food; you are an ambassador of our establishment, providing excellent customer service and contributing to the overall atmosphere of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating arrangements.
• Provide menus and suggest seasonal or specialty items.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar promptly.
• Serve food and drinks in a timely manner while adhering to presentation standards.

Communication:

• Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth coordination of orders.
• Address any customer concerns or special requests promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a cohesive and efficient workflow.

Upselling and Product Knowledge:

• Promote additional menu items, specials, and beverages to enhance the guest experience.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.

Cleanliness and Organization:

• Set up tables with appropriate silverware, glasses, and condiments before guests are seated.
• Ensure dining areas are clean and presentable at all times, including clearing tables and resetting them for the next guests.
• Assist in maintaining overall restaurant cleanliness, including restrooms and service areas.

Compliance:

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and restaurant policies.
• Follow alcohol handling procedures responsibly, including checking identification and adhering to legal drinking age requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a waitress or in a customer service role (preferably in a restaurant setting).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
