Junior Cybersecurity Consultant

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree with a major or concentration in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
• Alternatively, relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional - CISSP) or equivalent experience in cybersecurity will be considered.
• 0-2 years of experience in information security, risk management, information technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of information security principles, including network security, application security, cloud security, and mobile security.
• Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Basic hands-on experience with security tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners).
• Softskills : Communication, strong problem-solving and analytical skills,
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Assist senior consultants during client calls, including engagement planning, discussion of findings, and presentations.
• Help manage client expectations and provide support throughout the engagement lifecycle.
• Support the execution of risk assessments using proprietary methodologies and tools.
• Gather and analyse data to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Assist in the development of risk mitigation strategies and recommendations.
• Contribute to the preparation of written deliverables, including risk assessment reports, security policies, and risk program guidelines.
• Assist in presenting these deliverables to clients, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Provide basic guidance on security improvements and risk mitigation under the supervision of senior consultants.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices.
• Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed to support the business and client service efforts.
