Green Building Council Indonesia (GBC Indonesia) is an independent non-profit organization committed to educating the public on implementing best environmental practices and facilitating the global sustainable building industry transformation. As an Emerging Member of the World Green Building Council (WGBC), GBC Indonesia collaborates with various stakeholders, including construction professionals, building and property sector industries, government agencies, educational and research institutions, professional associations, and environmental enthusiasts. One of GBC Indonesia's programs is to conduct Green Building Certification activities in Indonesia using the country's specific assessment tool called GREENSHIP.

Role Description

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the GREENSHIP Rating system, particularly GREENSHIP Net Zero.

• Prepare or review the general framework for GREENSHIP Net Zero rating certification.

• Analyze and clearly define the activities and current business processes of the GREENSHIP Net Zero certification. Identify gaps and propose necessary or improved processes.

• Develop and refine lean, effective procedures that align with the IT system architecture, while collaborating with the IT developer consultant selected by GBC Indonesia.

• Act as a bridge between GBCI, clients, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear understanding and implementation of the GREENSHIP standards.

• Organize workshops, meetings, and focus groups with key stakeholders to gather feedback and suggestions on the development and improvement of the certification process.

• Meet with external stakeholders, including government bodies, industry experts, and sustainability advocates, to ensure the rating system aligns with regulatory and industry standards while addressing stakeholder needs.

• Regularly gather and synthesize input from stakeholders to ensure that their needs and concerns are integrated into the evolving GREENSHIP Net Zero certification process.

• Collaborate with the Event & Communication division to create materials and campaigns that promote the GREENSHIP standard.

• Work with the Training division to develop educational modules on the standards and processes for stakeholders.

• Engage with the Membership division to support member organizations in their certification, green product development, and sustainability journeys.

• Partner with the IT division to ensure that standards are translated into functional digital tools and applications, streamlining certification processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Industrial Engineering, Sustainable Design, or a related field.

• Strong passion for sustainability and environmental issues.

• At least one year of experience in sustainability or environmental management. Holding a GREENSHIP Professional (GP) certification is a plus.

• Ability to synthesize, map, and improve systemic processes and procedures.

• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), system diagramming, flowcharting, and project management tools.

• Strong ability to present technical information clearly to internal teams and external clients.

• Ability to create clear requirement documents for IT development or tech-savviness is a plus.

• Ability to manage projects independently, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.

• Proficiency in both written and spoken English.

• Ability to work in a flexible environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

This position will be based in Jakarta, with a flexible office arrangement. The Project Manager will report directly to the Manager of the Rating Development & Certification Division, working closely with various team members across the organization.
