Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-disciplinary engineering tasks and keep schedule and quality.
• Coordinate with all discipline engineers and prepare engineering package for procurement and construction for plant modification, new facility etc. and perform technical bid evaluation.
• Review engineering document from other party (such as Vendor/Subcontractor).
• Conduct technical clarification with other party (such as Vendor/Subcontractor).
• Support engineering study requested by Owner.
• Provide advice for technical queries from Owner.
• Coordinates engineering and design issues with rerated disciplines.
• Work as site coordinator where required.
• Coordinates and instructs to Subcontractors for engineering issues with related engineers
• Perform trouble shooting relating to engineering matters.
• Coordinates with all concerned management/staff at site and subcontractors in order to ensure the project specified quality and performance.
• Attends meetings related to site work.
• Instructs and supervises the subcontractors and vendors to prepare as built documents after completion of the work.
• Review & comment subcontractor's documents and drawings to confirm the compliance with project requirements and prepare for technical queries to subcontractors as necessary.
• Coordinate with client engineers for their comments on the subcontractor's documents and drawings.
• Coordinate interface / tie-in with other disciplines such as mechanical, piping, and instrument / electrical.
• Accountable for the preparation of safe and efficient coordination of construction.
• Advice on optimizing the construction.
• Advise on the need to make changes to work plan and sequencing of activities to ensure the coordination of several discipline works.
• Understand Client’s requirements and perform consistent Design according to the project specificities and procedures.
• Responsible for technical matters, procedures, design deliverables and schedule compliance.
• Ensure past lessons learnt are considered.
• Prepare reports on job progress/status on the assigned project.
• Clear and solve engineering issues at site with steel fabricator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience
• Communicative in English
• Experience to lead multi-disciplinary engineering work
• Has knowledge and skills on Plant Engineering
• Knowledge, understanding and correct interpretation for technical specifications, drawings, code and standards.
• Having 5-7 years experiences as engineering manager at office or site.
• Having experience to work in Revamping/Modification Project
