JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Sites Safety & Resilience (S&R) Manager manages day-to-day S&R activities in collaboration with the site operations management. This position is responsible for offering recommendations to improve Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE), and Business Continuity Management (BCM). This role also conduct observations, inspections and audits across the functional pillars of S&R as required.

  • Manage day-to-day HSSE activities
  • Support operations to ensure global, regional and area S&R, Incident Management & Business Continuity Management requirements are implemented in a timely manner to incorporate local country legal & regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all locations have a documented risk profile and corresponding risk assessments, identifying critical controls are identified and mitigated as low as reasonably possible (ALARP).
  • Create and facilitate site improvement plans that should incorporate all S&R & BCM actions identified through any audit, or inspection means. This is co-created in conjunction with site senior management and support from S&R Business Partner where required.
  • Facilitate S&R, IM & BCM requirements of contractors, visitors, vendors and all 3rd parties to ensure Maersk policies and procedure compliance
  • Escalate all incident & accident events to Country & Area S&R within appropriate timelines
  • Enforcing policies to establish a culture for S&R
  • Evaluating practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk controls and adherence to local laws
  • Conduct training and presentations for S&R matters and accident prevention
  • Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
  • Intervene in unsafe activities or operations
  • Perform S&R audits & inspections

What We Are Looking For

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in similar EHS positions. Candidates who have experience in warehouse safety or logistics companies are preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSH guidelines and practices
  • Have a strong character with a commitment to challenge senior management if required
  • Have the ability to conduct EHS training and presentations when needed
  • Know about ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001, ISO 22301, ISO 39001
  • Experience in conducting both internal and external audits.
  • Good verbal and written communication in English and excellent attention to detail.
  • Work autonomously under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Understand the legislation and regulations for compliance within the warehouse and transportation.
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods handling is an advantage
