Position Overview:

This position is for one of our client. A premium international school in South Jakarta. This position is responsible for overseeing the implementation and compliance of the national requirements, ensuring that it aligns with the relevant national educational standards as well as the school (British system) standard. This role will be focusing on national education standards, national accreditation and national curriculum implementation (in particular Indonesian studies and 3 compulsory subjects which are Bahasa Indonesia, Religion and Civics), student national registrations, and regulatory compliance, especially around SPK School practices. The Local Head of School works closely with the registrar and/or Dapodik operator, national curriculum compulsory subjects teaching staff, and administrative team under the supervision of Head of School.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum and Compliance Leadership:

-Ensure the effective implementation of the national curriculum, staying updated with changes in policies, regulations, and curriculum standards.

-Collaborate with teachers to develop and adapt lesson plans, assessments, and teaching strategies to meet the required national standards.

-Monitor student registrations and participation in the national assessment Ensure that the school complies with all local educational regulations, SPK compliance and accreditation requirements.

Support to the Head of School:

-Work together with International Head of School to implement school policies, and ensure smooth coordination between national and international curriculum streams where applicable.

-Act as the key point of contact for national education authorities and stakeholders.

Teacher Development and Leadership:

-Provide leadership and support to teaching staff by facilitating continuous professional development programs focused on national curriculum improvements.

-Lead regular reviews of teaching practices of national curriculum (3 compulsory subjects), and offer feedback to ensure high-quality teaching and learning outcomes in line with the national curriculum.

-Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration among staff, encouraging innovation and excellence in teaching.

Qualifications and Experience:

-A degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field with a focus on the national curriculum.

-A minimum of 5 years of experience in an educational leadership role, preferably within the national curriculum system and British system.

-Strong understanding of the local educational policies, curriculum frameworks, and regulatory requirements.

-Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

-Ability to work collaboratively with international and local staff and to support the mission and values of the school.

-Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English is essential.
