Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Loan Recovery Specialist/Officer to join our team. The role is critical in managing the recovery of both secured and unsecured loans. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing delinquent accounts and will possess a thorough understanding of recovery processes in the Indonesian lending environment. This role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills to ensure the efficient recovery of overdue loans while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loan Recovery Management:
    • Handle a portfolio of delinquent loans.
    • Conduct detailed analysis to determine the best recovery strategies based on loan type and customer circumstances.
    • Implement and manage recovery plans for overdue accounts, including contacting customers, setting up repayment schedules, and negotiating settlements.
  • Customer Communication:
    • Establish and maintain regular contact with borrowers to resolve overdue payments, through phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
    • Provide borrowers with clear explanations of outstanding balances and available payment options.
    • Ensure a customer-centric approach, focusing on resolving payment issues in a fair and respectful manner.
  • Legal and Compliance:
    • Ensure that all recovery processes comply with internal policies and relevant laws/regulations in Indonesia.
    • Collaborate with legal teams on cases that require legal actions such as repossession or court proceedings.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all communications, payments, and agreements with borrowers.
    • Prepare regular reports on the status of overdue loans, recovery efforts, and overall portfolio performance.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other departments, such as underwriting, credit, and legal, to improve recovery processes and minimize defaults.
    • Assist in developing recovery strategies for various loan types, including identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in loan recovery, collections, or credit management, ideally in the secured or unsecured loan segment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of loan recovery practices and financial regulations in Indonesia.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with loan management software.
    • Ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in banking, financial institutions, or fintech companies.
  • Understanding of legal procedures related to loan recovery in Indonesia.
  • Knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia and English.
